A Mother's Day Poem to Me from Joe, May 10 (Thanks, Honey!)

The River Flows

A mother's love flows as from a deep deep spring
From it's depths water flows, full of life that she brings
It covers and cools, it cleanses and cares
And brings healing to any and all who drink there

Even in sorrow the river still flows
Climbing the heights and plummeting the lows
Sustaining, renewing as life takes it's toll
Even if it takes her to the depths of Sheol

Sometimes we're lost and long for her touch
Only to find her springs glistening, and there we drink much
Wisdom, resilience, charm and grace
We see them all beaming in the smile on her face

From love to birth, through life and death
Faithfulness and mercy from her we are blessed
God's gift of this river, can be taken for granted
But today we are grateful by her banks we've been planted.

Loving you more this Mothers Day...than any before
