In case you're wondering what's happened to us, this is a brief synopsis. The lesson of the past year, "we do not control our lives", has been learned yet again. We've had more of our well-laid plans tip sideways. So now we've been here in Virginia Beach since April 1. Our escrow on our Pungo Farm that was supposed to close on April 30 seems to be permanently stalled. I don't want to say too much on that except that the seller is 85 years old.
Our daughter JoAnne and her husband have been the most gracious hosts, but since we want to keep their love and friendship, we feel that it's time to give them back their home. So we took a road trip to NYC, came back and rented a beach condo for the next month. Seems like by then we will know if we are going to be farmers or not.
These tiny little pictures are of the place we are staying, out in the middle of nowhere, which seems to suit us just right for now. It's a great place for me to recover from the flu bug that bit me. There is a pier, and supposedly some wild horses, and birds that fly in for snacks, and a long beach to walk on and ponder our fate.
