I was so blessed to bring this wonderful and funny young man into the world.
Joe is missing his best friend.
They shared the best kind of friendship and rarely missed a chance to be together.

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf.

About this Blog
We are in the midst of major life changes triggered by the loss of our only son. He died from an epilepsy-related syndrome called SUDEP--Sudden Unexplained Death by Epilepsy. With absolutely no warning, one day he was alive and the next day he was gone. Our hearts are broken.
From the shores of Maui, to the woods of Virginia, to our ultimate destination in Heaven, we are on a difficult journey of discovery. This blog is a form of therapy for us and a place to also count our blessings. It's not what we planned for our lives--Plan A, but instead we are trusting that God has a Plan B.

Happy Birthday Joey, we miss you. You were a beautiful person inside and out.
I wish there was a way for us to know how your party is going to be tonight, there are quite few guesses!!!
I'll never forget the way you would always come give me a hug, look at my eyes and ask how was I doing, and you meant it.
Last time I saw you was at church, Sunday morning before you went back to LA. During the service I point out to Steve how you were sitting in between your parents and you had your arms around both of them. I'll never forget that. You truly loved your parents and never cease to show.
The last thing I remember saying to you was how nice I thought your hair looked, you know, you've been through many different hair stiles through the years!! I thought the last one was a winner!! The smile you had was almost like if you were embarrassed, you looked down and back at my eyes and said "thank you Elis" You were always very cute.
We love you Joey, till the Day.
