My Beautiful Boy

The Dance

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss the dance...

You two look spiffy. Wishing you tons of precious thoughts today. Big hugs!

I can't dance so haven't taught my boys to do so. I am learning to clog and that is very aerobic. Did Joey love to dance? Looks like he danced through life even when his feet weren't moving. His heart beat to the tune of life.

I am so glad that you found ways to spend the day as a family, honoring your precious son. I understand from our experience how hard it can be to decide how to "celebrate" such a day.

Your love for your family shows so clearly in your concern for the living ones, who you work to support by facing your own sorrow so frankly. One day, one moment at a time, until we are reunited. Sending love and support from here.

Joey was certainly your boy. It was hard, I can tell in your writting. I had just listened to the song Cinderella in the car two days ago and just sobbed. I know he wrote it for the daughter he lost. I remembered Angie dancing at her wedding and remembering how beautiful she was. How all those moments and pictures affect us so differently now. There is not one picture that I would not like to hang on the wall. You have so many wonderful ones of Joey it would fill a room. Love Sharon
