Crab Boil with our Friends

This was our grand finale night.

We lingered under the big trees by the lake in JoAnne's beautiful backyard.

Drew scoops the steaming corn and potatoes from the pot.

These Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs were a gorgeous sky blue just a moment before being steamed into this color.

Squeezing lemon over the clams, crabs, scallops, and everything else spread on the table. Then we added bowls of melted butter for dipping. Yum-O!
The only fitting way to say goodbye to our friends--we wish they never had to leave and we miss them.

Looks like my kind of going away dinner! I am sure this visit will give you hope for each day. I never know, for the moment it is wonderful and then it is gone and the glimer of the time spent can be soooo rewarding. Hope it will be for you
Love Sharon

This looks like a wonderful celebration - what generous hospitality, and the bounty of nature. I.LOVE.CRAB!
It's so good that you had this time together. I am thankful. God bless you.

Isn't that a lot of work for a little bit of food? You need a pig. Course then it would taste like pork. At least with eating boiled crab legs you burn off the calories while you eat. Now I can eat crab cakes for sure!

So sad to say goodbye and all but ya'll braved through it. So hard to pass the first on everything.
